Great Gatsby New Year's Eve Gala in Switzerland

What a special start to the new year! At the New Year's Eve party at Hotel Weissenstein in Switzerland, high above the clouds, I performed my hula hoop show act "Swingtime" and my handstand act "After Dark" – all in the glamorous style of The Great Gatsby. I'm really looking forward to 2025 and all the new adventures and exciting shows it will bring!

At the 15th "KuSch goes Varieté" at the Kulturscheune Herborn I took to the stage with my handstand show act "Vision" and my hula hoop show act "Swingtime". Over three shows I got to perform alongside wonderful artists such as Tim Becker, TJ Wheels, Jens Ohle and JETON – the audience was simply fantastic. This time the evening at the casino was themed "Let the music play": I performed my handstand show act to "Purple Rain" and my hula hoop act to "Lily was here" – accompanied by The Blue Band. For the second time I was part of the big wine tasting hosted by the Fellbach winegrowers with my handstand and hula hoop show acts. In the Schwabenlandhalle, 700 guests were able to sample various wines from the Fellbach winegrowers in a wonderfully positive atmosphere.

This year I once again got to enjoy a wonderful adventure aboard the MS Europa 2 – working on a cruise ship brings new countries, new people and new emotions. For two weeks I presented my handstand and hula hoop show acts in a great team with the Vegas Showgirls, violinist Stefan Krznaric, acrobatic duo Gema & Miguel, BMX rider Daniel Fuhrmann and our extraordinary team leader, drag artist Chris Kolonko. In August the wonderful journey continues with a new route – I'm already looking forward to it!

On 23 November our new show "Pompös" celebrated its premiere at the Schmidts Tivoli theatre in Hamburg. I'm delighted to present my handstand and hula hoop show acts in this beautiful theatre – accompanied by the Tivoli's live band and together with wonderful artists such as comedy duo "Emmi & Willnowsky", cabaret artist Wolfgang Trepper, singer and entertainer Terrel Woodbury, handstand artist Robert Choinka, Morotz Haase on the trapeze and the singers "Les trois Pompadours". The show, full of humour, joie de vivre and acrobatics, runs at Schmidts Tivoli until 7 January 2018 – tickets are available at tivoli.de.

It's always a great experience to be in front of the camera in different locations and in completely new roles – it inspires me to create new things. On 23 September the big gala "enjoy your rhythm" took place in the Schwabenlandhalle in Fellbach, celebrating the return of the German Olympic athletes from Rio. Many talented artists, athletes and young gymnasts made the stage colourful and dynamic – and I was very happy to be part of it with my handstand and hula hoop show acts. One highlight of the show was my good friend Yuliya Raskina, silver medallist in rhythmic gymnastics at the 2000 Olympic Games.

Summer Festival at Ellwangen Castle

For the 150th anniversary of the VR-Bank Ellwangen I performed my handstand and hula hoop show acts at the beautiful Ellwangen Castle. During the day I also gave a hula hoop workshop for children and taught them a few tricks. The highlight of the evening was a variety show with comedy, breakdance, acrobatics and a live band – it was tremendous fun! Thanks to Klaus Walz for the lovely photos.

Five days, five great shows: with the Schmidt Show on Tour I performed at the Willy-Brandt-Halle in Mühlheim am Main – alongside comedy artists Michael Eller, Konrad Stöckel, Tim Becker and Daniel Helfrich. This weekend I performed at the ski opening in Nauders, Austria – on an open-air stage right on the mountain, with a big crowd and a great atmosphere. Performing outside in sub-zero temperatures was pretty chilly, but I had loads of fun. And after the show there was mulled wine to warm up!

I've just returned to Stuttgart from my summer engagement in Ibiza: over the summer I performed at the restaurant Cipriani – in the open-air show by Giulio Scatola and Nu' art production. It was a beautiful time with many wonderful people, dreamlike beaches like Cala Bassa and magical places like Es Vedra.

"Welcome to Las Vegas" – my look back

All things come to an end – we've just played the final performance of "Welcome to Las Vegas" at the Friedrichsbau Varieté. It was a great pleasure to be part of this show: a wonderful team, perfectly organised conditions and a fantastic audience that gave me so much strength and motivation. Beyond the shows, we experienced a lot together – from a traditional wine tavern to the spring festival in Stuttgart, Circus Krone and dance nights at the Hacienda and Perkins Park. Thank you all – I truly enjoyed every single day!

From 13 April to 9 June 2012 I'm part of the show "Welcome to Las Vegas" at the Friedrichsbau Varieté in Stuttgart. The show is a homage to Elvis Presley (Ray Martin) and Ann-Margret (Kimberly Trees) from the film "Viva Las Vegas".
