Marina Skulditskaya - handstand and hula hoop artist from Stuttgart. In "Swingtime" I perform a hula hoop show full of pace and charm: virtuoso hoop work that starts with a single hoop and ends with a whole ring of hoops circling at once.
The act lives on the change between calm shapes and fast passages – and on the audience watching the number of hoops grow. It runs about five minutes, needs 3 x 3 metres of level floor and works indoors as well as outdoors.

The act comes from professional variety stages – it was created for the show "Swing Time" at the Friedrichsbau Varieté in Stuttgart and has run at galas, corporate events and variety programmes across the country ever since.
From the first hoop to the whole ring
The dramaturgy is simple and works every time: it begins with one hoop and ends with a whole ring of hoops circling at once. The audience cannot help counting along.
Lively rather than solemn
Where the handstand act creates stillness, "Swingtime" brings pace. This is the act that carries an evening from the formal part into the relaxed one – and it reaches an audience immediately, whatever their experience of the stage.
Little technology, great effect
Three by three metres of level floor and 2.5 metres of ceiling height are enough. No rigging point, no structural survey – the act fits a variety stage as well as a ballroom, a foyer or a shopping centre.

Gala for the Großer Preis des Mittelstandes at the Maritim Hotel in Würzburg
On 26 September 2026 I was part of the award ceremony for the Großer Preis des Mittelstandes at the Maritim Hotel in Würzburg. The Oskar-Patzelt-Stiftung honours Germany's most successful medium-sized companies there – this year from Bavaria, Baden-Württemberg, Hesse, Thuringia, Saxony and Berlin/Brandenburg, under the motto "Trust creates opportunity". Open Day at the Renitenztheater Stuttgart with WOW Varieté
On 13 September 2026 the Renitenztheater in Stuttgart opened its doors for its open day – live acts, live music and a look behind the scenes, with free admission. Together with WOW Varieté I was on stage with my handstand show act on my handstand table and my hula hoop show. How long is the hula hoop show act?
About five minutes. That is the length that has proven itself at galas, corporate events and in variety theatre. On request I perform the act several times in one evening or combine it with my handstand show act.
What stage and what technology do you need?
A level area of 3 x 3 metres and at least 2.5 metres of ceiling height. Plus a sound system – I bring the music. Lighting is optional but adds a great deal.
How many hoops do you work with?
The act starts with one hoop and builds to a finale in which a whole ring circles at once. I bring the hoops myself, nothing is needed on site.
Is the act possible outdoors or in a shopping centre?
Yes. The act needs only a level surface and no rigging – which is why it works at summer parties, open days and in shopping centres just as well as on a variety stage. At the MILANEO in Stuttgart, for instance, in front of an audience spread over several floors.
What does the hula hoop show act cost?
